One of the things you should know, is the resolution of the image. A typical Web Graphics either. (jpg or gif) is 72 pixels per inch. This means exactly what it is, there are 72 points in every inch. It is sometimes called "dots per inch or" dpi ".

If an image has a high resolution of 600 pixels per inch and measures 3600 pixels wide and 3600 pixels, which means we have to print up to 6 inches by 6 inches.

In other words, you divide the size of the pixels per inch by inch, the scale of the image.
